Rocket fire casts doubt on ceasefire in Libya
22 de enero de 2020, 14:34Tripoli, Jan 2 (Prensa Latina) Libyan government, based in this capital, condemned on Wednesday what it described as a rocket fire on the airport by the army loyal to the cabinet.
In this North African nation, two governments, one settled here, with international recognition; and the other based in Tobruk, the power is disputed and since mid-month they agreed to abide by a ceasefire, and ratified it during an international summit last week in Germany. The official report said that six self-propelled rockets fired by Haftar-ruled forces, loyal to the opposition, hit the facilities of Tripoli airport, and described the action as a threat to aviation.Libya has been mired in chaos since NATO, in a biased interpretation of a UN Security Council resolution, launched its aviation in 2011 against the Constitutional Army and led to the overthrow of the government and the subsequent assassination of leader Muamar Ghadafi.rly/pll/mgt/msl source
