TRIPOLI, Sept. 9 (Xinhua) -- The Libyan Center For Freedom of Press confirmed on Monday that a cameraman for a local TV channel has been arrested in the capital Tripoli.
"Cameraman Siddiq Al-Dokali, who works for Libya Lekol al-Ahrar Television channel, has been arbitrarily arrested in the capital Tripoli by security agents," the center said in a statement.
Al-Dokali was arrested following a verbal argument with security officers of the home of the UN-backed Prime Minister Fayez Serraj, the statement explained.
Al-Dokali has been taken to an unknown location, the statement added.
The center demanded the UN-backed prime minister to "intervene to release Al-Dokali immediately and unconditionally."
In its latest annual report, the center documented 88 cases of attacks against journalists and media workers across Libya. source
