The Equatoguinean Football Federation have appointed Sebastien Migne as their national team head coach ahead of the 2021 AFCON qualifiers.
The decision comes after Spanish manager Angel Lopez stepped down as Equatorial Guinea head coach in September.
Sebastien Migne signed a six-year contract with the Nzalang Nacional ahead of the 2021 AFCON qualifiers this month.
Speaking about his appointment, Migne discussed his future plans with Equatorial Guinea, but claims that results are not guaranteed.
“I do not promise results but hard work. I can’t say that I already know all the players of the national team,” said Migne.
“I have been fortunate to follow the friendly that Nzalang had with Togo in France and I can say that I have a good team.
“My plan is to meet with all the coaches in the country to convey my work philosophy. It is the way we can do a team work.” he added.
Equatorial Guinea have been drawn in Group J of the 2021 AFCON qualifiers with Libya, Tanzania, and Tunisia.
Migne’s first game in charge of Equatorial Guinea will take place on 15 November when they travel to face Tanzania. source
